Solon Scton Hi, a club sponsored by the Seton Guild, a Catholic organization, is open to all girls from tenth grade to twelfth. Art Quady. Hi-Y The five Hi-Y clubs at North carry on individual activities as well as joint projects. The Youth and Government Program, sale of Christmas tree tickets to help worthy boys attend camp, leadership of younger boys' clubs, and Hi-Y Training Camps featured the events this past year. The purpose of the Hi-Y is to create, maintain, and extend high standards of Christian character throughout the school and community. The presidents of the respective clubs for the fall and spring terms were: Acmy—Donald E. Keefe, Willis Brown; Acmy-Hubs—Earl Anderson; Forem— Clayton Nelson, Jr., Louis Bonie; Primus—John Stanley, Art Quady; Zenith—Robert L. Peterson, Dick Silverness. This past year the paper has discontinued the multilith system of printing and has adopted the four-page printed style used by other city high school newspapers. The Polaris has been awarded membership in the national organization of Quill ami Scroll. Honor Soi'iety The National Honor Society has the distinction of being the only club at North whose membership is limited by definition in the club covenant.
