Harry H. Maass, coining to North only three years ago, soon won a place for himself among faculty members and students alike. He has been interested in all activities, both scholastic and extra-curricular. Because of his helpfulness and interest in the North chapter of the National I lonor Society, he was made one of its few honorary members at the recent induction ceremony. His friendliness and understanding of high school boys and girls make him a real friend to all students. Mrs. Gertrude Shephard, Senior Class Advisor, has proved herself a sincere friend to all those who have known her. She has given much time and effort in promoting Senior Class activities and this Senior Album. As a class, we wish to extend our gratitude to Mrs. Shephard for all she has done and for making it possible for us to have the most pleasant semester of our school career. 5

When again we come together, either at our alumni banquet or in these very halls, the war will be over. Our youthful hopes for democracy may then be carried out in the calmness of peace. As we arc graduating from North, you are sailing on the high seas, fighting your way through jungles or winging your way to victory. To you, we dedicate this album of the June Class of 1944. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4
