The purpose of this club is to better acquaint the students with Latin; therefore they devote all their programs to subjects pertaining to Latin, Norse Norse is a club composed of boys and girls who devote their time to studying Norwegian customs and cultures. Each year they hold a declamatory contest; the winner is eligible to enter a national contest held later on. German The purpose of the members of the German club is to cd cate themselves in German literature and culture; also, 1 frequent use of the language, they hope to be able to use fluently in society.

The name La Tertulia” means social gathering.” The meetings arc held the last Tuesday of every month. At these meetings they have Spanish plays and games. Miss Apel is the club adviser. It is the aim of the Spanish Club to bring to its members a better understanding of the Spanish speaking countries. French Club The name of the French club is Jeanne D'Arc. Students must have a ”C average in French to belong to the club. The meetings are conducted partly in French. The officers for this club arc: President, William Robins; vice-president, Shirley Wilebsky; secretary-treasurer, Eileen Patnode; sergeant-at-arms, Ethel Yarosh. 26

NVhinakcr Seton Hy The Seton-Hy is sponsored by the Seton Guild, a Catholic organization, but is open to all girls. The club held a mother and daughter banquet, and at Christmas they celebrated with a party. The officers for the fall and spring terms were the following: Florence Liemandt, president; Dorothy Walch, vice-president; Susan Sanders, treasurer; Marion Johnson, secretary. Pinnacle The Pinnacle club is the most recently organized group at North. It was formed hy a group of colored students, and it is sponsored hy the Phyllis Whcatly House. Miss Qucllo is the club adviser. The club had a difficult time getting started this year, but with the help of Miss Qucllo, the club hopes to progress rapidly. 28
