Krclitz Radio The ambition of every member of this club is to become a licensed amateur radio operator; therefore they spend as much time as they can in studying the things an operator is required to know. Camera The members of “North’s Camera Club” arc out to learn something of modern photography by first hand experience and demonstrations. They take pictures for the Polaris Annual and Weekly under the supervision of Mrs. Bros. Kadimah This club is composed of Jewish girls in the “A sophomore, junior, and senior classes. It is both a social and character club. 23

Zuckman Projection The projection club, with Mr. Huston as adviser, is a service club. The hoys learn how to run various tyjics of movie apparatus, and they furnish radios and phonographs for the classes that want them. Menorah Mcnorah is the Jewish boys’ organization of North. Through this organization these boys strive for higher ideals. Mr. Friedman is the adviser of the club. Stanley Troup is the president. 22

Szurz Aviation Club This club is open to all boys and girls interested in aviation and model airplane building. They were able, recently. to finish the full-size glider they have been working on. They are also helping in national defense by building model airplanes which can be used by the government for experiments. The officers arc the following: President-treasurer, Kenneth I lornibrook; vice president-secretary, Harry Brenner. Auto Safety The auto safety club was organized for the purpose of teaching high school drivers the fundamentals of better driving. Demonstrations were given to explain the importance of having the car in perfect mechanical condition. The club failed to hold many meetings this year; for this reason, Mr. Reinhart, the club adviser, declared that the club would be discontinued next semester. 24
