The Mood For North It has been my pleasure to serve you in the capacity of assistant prin- cipal for the past two and one-half years. Education is a wonderful process that will open many doors for you through life. Without it you are lost. I challenge you to carefully construct your educational pursuits on the premise that this experience will best equip you with the needed tools to be a respected citizen for the rest of your life. North is a fine school. Be proud of the opportunities it offers you. Mr. Fekete taught world history and coached football at West High School for four and one-half years before coming to North in February of 1966. In addition to being in charge of discipline, Mr. Fekete handles stu- dents' schedules and is advisor to National Honor Society. North High School is rich in tra- dition and achievement. Here can be found limitless opportunities for friendship, for service, for leadership, for academic attainment, and for cha- racter development. A full share of these is possible to any student whose resolution to secure it will not permit any obstacle to interfere with the di- rection of his Worthy purpose. Success in this endeavor will make the indivi- dual a good citizen of the school, and will prepare him to meet his adult so- cial and civic responsibilities. We pledge our best effort to help make the school experience of each student profitable and happy. Very few situations ever arise in high school which cannot be worked out satisfac- torily through intelligent discussion, mutual understanding, and coopera- tive action. -E.W.H.
