IN MEMORIAMS Shirley Luscomb was a dedicated, kindly per- son. She performed all of her duties for the Eng- lish department conscientiously and enthusias- tically. At all times she gave of herself to meet the needs of the students. We miss her very much. The English Department Shirley Luscomb touched all who knew her warm and gentle demeanor. Teachers and stu- dents felt her warmth in her response to a request for a service, large or small. Her gentle ways served to soothe ruffled nerves; her sense of humor painted a smiling face on many a hapless situation. Marie Diamond Department Head, Foreign Languages Mrs. Luscomb was a caring professional. Her sincere interest in students and their needs made the job of teaching a more productive one. Morris Roodenburg Social Studies Department Ann Mansfield manifested professional and human qualities that have had a profound effect on the students at North Haven High School. The personal warmth and genuine concern for their well-being as well as that of the staff were cher- ished attributes found in her daily tasks. Her influ- ence, concern, and dedication will be forever remembered. Her contributions will remain indeli- bly imprinted in the minds of all those she so will- ingly served. Dr. Dominic Mascagna Associate Principal Mrs. Ann Mansfield enjoyed working with the students and staff at the West Campus. She was always a kind, sensitive and thoughtful person. She would listen to any student who was having problems with his her personal or social life. DEDICATION Through these past four years at North Haven High School, one man's presence has helped to give the class of 1980 the solid base on which it now stands. As our class advisor he has been a source of constant support and unfailing confidence. He was always will- ing to place his trust in our judgment and support our decisions even though he may have disagreed. This has instilled in our class the inspiration and encour- agement to strive for success. As a person, he-can only be loved and appreciated and his generosity will not be forgotten. With these thoughts in mind, the class of 1980 dedicates this edition of Sachem to Mr. Glen Dean. 2
