Margaret Jones Class Representative . ,. Jack Alley S FRESHMEN of 1933, we entered the front doors of North Gem with a feeling that we were going on some great adventure, From our bewildered expressions we must have given the impression of being unconcerned and independent, for we were merely tolerated by the Sophomorcs and Seniors. The kindfhearted Juniors, however took pity on us because of our unsophisticated ways. Through their kindly encouragement they helped us to establish ourselves as members of the Student Body. Very different now are our feelings and attitudes toward school life. for we no longer feel ourselves outcasts and green-horns, but high and mighty, with a purpose ever set before us to make our school a better educational home for every- OI19, The Class of 1937 pride themselves as being the peppiest group of students at North Gem. The annual Sophomore Hop was given November l6. 1934. This was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our class colors, red and white, greeted the happy couples as they entered the hall. Our desire is to establish ourselves as earnest, industrious students and citizens. Our aim--onward and upward. lPage Sixteen l

At the time of our initiation by the Sophomores, we were said to be the laughing-stock of the High School. During the Soph-Frosh flag rush, We were out-witted by our traditional foes, and embarassed by losing to them in the annual tug of war. Our Freshman Frolic, given on Vv'ashington's Birthday in the Stake House, was appropriately decorated for the occasion. It was a great success and we were thrilled for Weeks. We, the Class of 1938. are endeavoring to become useful members of the North Gem Student Body. The motto ever before us is Education First. I Page Eighteen
