gf youd? -if iw 5 N I Tennis has meant a great deal in my life. I have been playing since I was about seven years old but I really started taking it seriously in the seventh grade. I progressed each year and that eamed me the number l spot for North Gaston in the ninth grade. My frist year of high school tennis was filled with many defeats. Over the summer I received a scholarship from the men's tennis league of Gastonia Tamera McCall Jackie McCurry Sherry McGee Letha McGugan Beverly McGugan Ricky McMahan Jennifer Milburn llana Mobley to go the the Belmont Abbey Tennis Camp. The people there worked on my game and by the end of the week I won the camp tournament. I played in many tournaments after that, winning one and making it to the doubles final with Mark Lutz in the same toumament. I guess I like tennis because there is no one out there but you, and you don't have to depend on anyone but yourself. Sophomores ! 93
