Special Friend ot Forgotten On March 31, 1985, Jesse Hart died at Gaston Memorial Hospi- tal, He was the victim of Sickle Cell Anemia, an incurable dis- ease. ,M He is missed by everyone in school whether or not they knew him. He had a reputation of like ing everyone he met regardless of who he or she was. Jesse was a member of Mount Angie Sowell Tammy Staley Danny Stines Jamie Stines David Summey Rhonda Summey Crystal Tate Carol Taylor Joel Taylor Melea Taylor Wendy Teague Larry Thomas Laura Thomas Charles Thomburg 80 I Juniors Hebron Baptist Church where he participated on the usher board and junior choir. Jesse and I were friends for as long as l can remember. We were very close, almost like brothers. l knew him before we started school and our friendship never changed, stated Brian Wright. Neeley added, Jesse was my best friend and no one can take his place. He was active with his friends, family and church. He was a special part of my life. He meant a lot to everyone that knew him, especially me. Jesse will always be remembered and will remain everyone's special friend. close

Class Officers We have fourgitustanding officers in our Sophomore class. They all have very active lives in addition to being on the Student Council. WILLIAM SUMMEY holds the office of President for the Sophomore Class. At W.C. Friday, he was a homeroom representative. He also served as president of his youth group at church. He is also a member of the Science Club, Beta Club, and the Science Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In addition to his other jobs, he played on the JV Football team. MONICA JENKINS holds the office of Vice-President for the Sophomore class. This isn't the first office she has held. At Friday, she served as secretary and a homeroom representative. She plays on the girls, Tennis team, is in the Art Club, Keywanettes, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She also serves as vice-president of her church youth group. JENNIFER BARKLEY holds the office of Secretary for the Sophomore class. At Belmont Junior High, she also served as secretary of the student body. Jennifer is on both the cheerleading squad and the girls' tennis team. She also participates in the Science Club, Keywanettes, and the Fellow- ship of Christian Athletes. Jennifer added, I would like to make my class the best ever and , raise my fellow Sophomores' spirits. 82 X Sophomores D v an CRYSTAL WALLACE holds the office of Treasurer for the Sophomore class. She also served as vice-president and eventually president of the student body at Friday Junior High. She enjoys playing softball and swim- QQ . ming.
