Clubs View Career Possibilities There are two clubs whose main function is to leam all about health and the human body. One is the Junior Heart Board. The JHB's purpose is to leam about the heart and health related things. They met at least once a month in school and attended a county meeting monthly at the Eastridge Mall Community Room. Miss Caldwell, sponsor of the club, replied At times, the club keeps me busyg it depends on the activity we're doing. The JHB was involved in many activities. One of these was a Pizza Eat-Off at Domino's Pizza on Highway 321. The winner was our own Munching Ray McSwain. Another was CPR training classes that members attended to broaden their knowledge on im- mediate first aid. Junior, Gina Lineberger stated that, Some people have to work on meeting nights and can't come to the meetings. According to junior Michelle Bamhill, The demerit system helps keep attendance at our meetings fairly regular. The Health Occupations Club is a service organization whose main function is to help students leam more about health and health related things. The HOSA club gave a Halloween party for the kids at Mary Ellen Nelson Center where the members dressed up in costume. They also had a week of flag duty, worked in the concession stand at basketball games, and hosted a BLOODMOBILE in March. Kathy Harbin.
