FELLOW HIP A . The Christian Fellowship club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes are active clubs who work toward the improvement of everyday life. The CFC has sponsored a can food drive, a toy drive, a rent-a-kid day, and a teachers' brunch. They also visited the rest home on halloween, and gave a scholarship to a graduate. The FCA sponsored a toy drive, and a can food drive, they are part of the National Association for Students Against Drunk Driv- ing CS.A.D.D.D The members also enjoy hav- ing bible studies once a month. The CFC adviser Mrs. Bogle stated 'tl think both clubs have done a lot in the school to help other people. I am proud of these young people and all their interest and work. Keywanettes On Call Service + Success The Keywanettes once again proved to make the year a successful one. A main objective of the club was to provide service for the school as well as the community. The major commu- nity projects were babysitting at the Mary Ellen Nelson Center and assisting at the CROP Walk. They spent many hours decorat- ing the archway for Homecoming, provided a tea for Miss North Gaston contestants and judges, and sponsored the Valentine Dance. Members organized and served refreshments for open house, fed the football team after a home game, worked in the concession stand during basketball games, and arranged the Christmas Queen contest. For all of this to be accomplished, there must be people willing to devote their time. The Keywanettes met every second Tuesday of the month before school. Meetings were run by the officers with the assistance of the advisers. Everyone associated with the club felt the year was a big success. President Michelle McCraw commented, I feel that we were a success because many of our goals were made and accomplished. More of a wide range of members were involved in both the more serious and fun activities. She also stated that she had a lot of help and support from fellow officers and advisers. Advisers of the Keywanettes, Mrs. Jane Taylor and Mrs. Elaine McBryde, both enjoy helping the girls. Mrs. Taylor stated, It gives me an opportunity to see the students in a non-academic setting. She also feels that it's good to have a service club that has a lot of involvement in the school and community. She added, ' 'They are a great group of girls to work with. ' ' First year adviser Mrs. McBryde felt that it was time well spent, and enjoyed working with teenagers, She stated I've enjoyed getting to know and work with students that I donlt have in class. Senior member Tina Pasour really enjoyed being a Keywanette. She stated, I wanted to be a member of the Keywanettes because the club did alot of good things and I wanted to be involved in an active club which participated in school and community projectsf' Junior and sophomore members Michelle Breuille and Davan Cloninger added, We like the members and enjoy working with them.
