, - Robin Russell Receives Crown Robin Russell realized every girl's dream on October I8 when she heard her name called before a packed home crowd. She, along with the other contestants, rode in con- vertible or T-top cars around the track and were escorted onto the field by Wildcat Civic Club members through an archway decorated by the Keywanettes. After all the homecom- ing court had been presented, Phyllis Clemmer was announced as Maid of Honor and then Robin was crowned by outgoing queen Ann Merck. The announcement of homecoming queen was the grand finale of an exciting homecom- ing day. Students were entertained at a third period pep rally sponsored by the cheerleaders who dressed along with other students in 50's day attire. Each club decora- ted a wagon float and paraded before the student body. The Library Club rode away with the first place award. Student stunts devised by the cheerleaders lifted everyone's spirits.
