pirit Week Five fun filled days of exciting festivities. No it's not a cruise. Instead it's Spirit Week. Spirit Week was held October 14-18. There was excitement everywhere. The week sailed off with T-shirt 81 Button Day, this was sponsored by the Spanish Club. Tuesday was celebrated by Service Day, sponsored by the Library Club. Everyone showed their spirit by dressing in the attire of their favorite armed forces. Dress Your Best Day was Wednesday, which was sponsored by CFC. This day proved that our students can be impressive when they want to be. Thursday was a complete turn around. Punk Day sponsored by the Junior Heart Board let everyone show their true colors as they para- ded down the halls with their mixed-matched clothes and hair. Thursday night the Civic Club sponsored the bon-fire to get things warmed up for the next day's excitement. The cheerleaders sponsored 50's Day, an assemb- I'm stuck on you! , - Robin Russell Receives Crown Robin Russell realized every girl's dream on October I8 when she heard her name called before a packed home crowd. She, along with the other contestants, rode in con- vertible or T-top cars around the track and were escorted onto the field by Wildcat Civic Club members through an archway decorated by the Keywanettes. After all the homecom- ing court had been presented, Phyllis Clemmer was announced as Maid of Honor and then Robin was crowned by outgoing queen Ann Merck. The announcement of homecoming queen was the grand finale of an exciting homecom- ing day. Students were entertained at a third period pep rally sponsored by the cheerleaders who dressed along with other students in 50's day attire. Each club decora- ted a wagon float and paraded before the student body. The Library Club rode away with the first place award. Student stunts devised by the cheerleaders lifted everyone's spirits.
