. .9 Bump pirit The volleyball team had a fairly successful season finishing with a 9-1 1 record. The team was led in scoring with Shannon Loweryis 71 points and Sherry Hope's 53. The team went into a slump late in the season and finished sixth in the conference with a 3-9 record. The team had a good tumout in players this year, which allowed them to have a Junior Varsity as well as a Varsity team. The two teams practiced together which really helped the JV to improve. The JV did well with a 2-2 record. Two JV players, Becky Friend and Michelle McCarthy, movevd up to help the Varsity. The Varsity really helped me and the rest of the JV's improve and helped us learn how to play as a team, McCarthy stated. Having a fairly successful season, the team made the best of what they did and enjoyed their season.
