pirit Week Five fun filled days of exciting festivities. No it's not a cruise. Instead it's Spirit Week. Spirit Week was held October 14-18. There was excitement everywhere. The week sailed off with T-shirt 81 Button Day, this was sponsored by the Spanish Club. Tuesday was celebrated by Service Day, sponsored by the Library Club. Everyone showed their spirit by dressing in the attire of their favorite armed forces. Dress Your Best Day was Wednesday, which was sponsored by CFC. This day proved that our students can be impressive when they want to be. Thursday was a complete turn around. Punk Day sponsored by the Junior Heart Board let everyone show their true colors as they para- ded down the halls with their mixed-matched clothes and hair. Thursday night the Civic Club sponsored the bon-fire to get things warmed up for the next day's excitement. The cheerleaders sponsored 50's Day, an assemb- I'm stuck on you! Kim Burkette, Mary Beth Best, Missy Duncan, and Amy Brown model their favorite T-shirts 8L buttons. Where are they? Tony Wyatt and Tim Postell are dis- guised in their camouflauge as they dress up for Service Day. 10 X Student Life ly and a pep rally to get everyone in high gear for the Homecoming game, which was followed by the dance, sponsored by the Monogram Club. The football players were well cared for Friday. The Civinettes fed them breakfast, and the Keywanettes served them food after the game. The Keywanettes also helped de- corate the archway used for Homecoming. Once again our school spirit shines through. Rah-Rah! The North Gaston Cheerleaders build up the spirit as they cheer at the bonfire the night before Homecoming.
