Boys' Tennis coach JV Basketball Coach, and wcc Adviser. .4 The Life of a Coach There are many teachers who take the responsibility of teacher and coach. Two of these teachers are Mr. Bob Patton and Mr. Hal White, who spend a total of nearly thirty hours each week coaching in addition to their classroom duties. Mr. White, who enjoys fishing and golfing in his spare time, as well as spending time with wife Brenda and son Tripp, spends 28 hours weekly coaching dur- ing basketball season, not counting all of the restless nights he spends thinking about it. 'l In addition to his school duties, Coach White was president of the Southwestern Athletic Association. Coach Patton, who spent much of the football season commuting back and forth from his home in Salisbury, drove 2Vz hours to and from work every day. He spent many long hours coaching the football team last season. In his much deserved leisure time. he enjoys reading historical and crime novels, and shooting baskets with his son. Coach Patton was totally involved with the winter computerized weightlifting spons program to help the football team with their skills in preparation for the upcoming season. These two members of our faculty work hard to achieve the best from their team and to enjoy a little bit of much deserved relaxation.
