Football Opened The 771 Sport Calendar H ME vlnuurc at a NORTH GALLIA'S FOOTBALL TEAM was supported by 27 loyal boys. Despite a final 3-6-1 record giving North Gallia a third-place tie in the Southern Valley Athletic Conference, the North Gallia Squad members never lost their will to fight for victory. Behind the leadership of Phil Saunders, Bob Ratliff, and Jackie Smith, the young team gained invaluable experience for future seasons. Coaches Congratulate Co-Captains Head Coach Paul Aikman and Assist- ant Coach Noel Heister congratulate the two hard-playing co-captains, Phil Saunders and Jack Smith. Said Coach Aikman, Jack and Phil have displayed tremendous enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the season. Four Seniors Play Last HS. Game Four seniors will be graduated from North Gallia High School. They are Phil Saunders, David Justus, Roger Pel- frey and Bob Ratliff. Phil, who is 128 pounds of dynamite won All S. V.A. C, honors. David supplied inspiration on the de- fensive line, Roger was versatile and displayed fine efforts at many positions.
