Language, Art, Music Deepen Student ' s Miss Margaret Williams University of Georgia, B.A. Latin Mrs. Lilia Springer New York University, B.S. Spanish Culture courses such as language, art, and music are some of the most popular at North Ful- ton. In the language department each course aims to teach the student to speak, read, and under- stand the language, while also learning of the people from whom the language comes. While Latin is first offered in the ninth grade, French and Spanish may be taken on a five year basis. A program of art and music is provided mainly on an elective basis. The Special Choir has enter- tained thousands of people, both in the United States and Europe. The Band has provided North Fulton not only with spirit-raising music at the pep rallies, but also many sparkling half-time shows at Grady Stadium. Our Art Department gives those students gifted with artistic talents a chance to represent their imaginations in paintings, sculpture, and other works. In the halls at certain holiday seasons works by these students may be seen on display. Plebians beg mercy from Susan Flaherty on annual Latin Slai ' e Day. Louis G.
