After one month of work a public concert was given. Several trips were made to the neighboring towns on Mr. Nealy's circuit, and. in turn, North Freedom was host to all the bands. When Mr. Schumann came here in the fall of last year, the band was placed under his direction. It has been busily practicing all winter and has made four public appearances-one at the Baptist Church and three at school. There are now twenty-five members in the band. Concerts will be given again this summer as soon as the weather permits. Page Sixfeerv

The crafts are: Home craft, health craft, camp craft, hand craft and citizen craft. In addition to these, a local honor is awarded to each girl who performs some special service for her friends, parents or community. Each craft is represented by a wooden bead in symbolic color. The camp fire law is: Seek beauty, give service, pursue knowledge, be trustworthy, hold on to health, glorify work, and be happy. Meetings are held once a week at 3:30 in the camp fire room.
