As members of the Varsity Club graduate this year and in coming years, they will still be eligible for membership in the organization, thereby creating a stronger tie between graduates and the school. Several activities were planned and carried out by the club during the year. One project, the printing of basketball programs which were sold at the home games, was well received. Fathers' Night was held Wednesday, February 6, at which time the club members' fathers were given reserved seats in the front row at the basketball game with Mon- roeville. Everyone, including the fresh- men, enjoyed the program, and the seniors wholeheartedly welcomed the freshmen into full high school membership at the close of the program. That evening the freshmen were entertained at a party given for them by the seniors in the high school gymnasium. We feel that the P.T.A. deserves a vote of thanks for the fine work it is doing in helping improve our school. We especially appreciate the new tables in the cafeteria which were fur- nished by them and the drapes for the gyni windows that are being made by the ladies so we may show moving pictures more clearly during the daytime. Students, parents, and teachers alike have enjoyed the many fine programs and interesting speakers who have been brought to us at the P. T.A. meetings each month. Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins SPECIAL SPEAKERS State Patrolm an BUS DRIVERS Much like the proverbial postmen, our bus drivers make their rounds re- gardless of the weather, except when the roads are considered hazardous to the safety of the children. We appreci- ate the care they exercise in handling the responsibilities involved in trans- porting the students of our school to and from their homes. Finally, too, we appreciate the fact that they are more than just drivers, they are our FRIENDS. Og' Bob Reilly, August Bender, and Norman Gannett.
