The junior Varsity Rally Squad, four junior girls, had the job of promoting school spirit for the Scots' football and basketball seasons. The j.V. Rally sponsored the annual Hello Week Dance to raise money for expenses. They performed for the North-South game on March 3, 1964, at MacArthur Court to the record Be True to Your School. GO! FIGHT! The Varsity Rally Squad was composed of six senior girls who were selected in all-school Student Body election in the spring of their junior year. The Rally Squad worked diligently during the summer and each day throughout the school year to perfect their dance routines, yells, and skits. They worked closely with the Student Manager to plan pep assemblies and rally buses. To begin raising school spirit, the Rally Squad sponsored the traditional Hello Week Dance. Varsity Rally Squad organized and sponsored spirit week held from February 24-28. There were special competitive activities for each day of the week. The Rally girls performed the traditional Highland Fling for the North-South game on March 3, 1964, at MacArthur Court. They were accompanied by the Eugene Highland Bagpipe Band. They also performed a dance routine with the Junior Varsity Rally to the record Be True To Your School. The Yell Kings, two seniors and one junior, did a fine job in organizing the white shirt section at the Basketball games.
