- awluzg Serving as your president this year has been a great experience and one I will never forget. I thank you, the student body, for making this possible and for your active sup- 'Raef port throughout the year. tr I have enjoyed working on the year's activities with my fellow ASB olficersg Nancy, Sue, Pat, Barbara and Bob. Their efforts, combined with those of the student body and faculty have made this another great year at North. I extend my best wishes to the juniors and sophomores along with the hope that they will keep up the spirit and standards of North Eugene. To the seniors I wish the best of luck and happiness. They worked hard to make this year a good one. 'Z-Hz 715.-V017 Leon Henderson President The past three years at North have been most reward- ing to me. During this time friendships were strengthened, ideas exchanged, new vistas opened in the classroom, and a strong sense of loyalty developed for North Eugene. As your student body vice-president the opportunity to work with faculty and students in planning, organizing, and supervising student activities has been deeply appre- ciated. I am certain that anyone having had this rich experience must feel likewise. The time has come when we must leave the halls and traditions of our school. But the lessons we have learned here we will take with us, along with our memories. And . what memories! Noon hours, classroom discussions, the North-South rivalry, and our state champion basketball team. We, as Seniors, are going our separate ways. I know, however, that I speak for all when I say, not goodbye, but We will always remember thee. .1 ,,,. K . it -'Qomeaa HCLLQ., Nancy Hale Vice-President

YN, Sue Newman Secretary The student body ofiicers are the nucleus of student government. Combined with each of the class presidents they form the executive council which meets every other week to plan the agenda for student council meetings. Student body officers also attend inter-school meetings with the executive officers from South Eugene and Sheldon. President Leon Henderson led executive and student council meetings. As a representative of North Eugene he spoke to several civic groups outside of school. Vice-President Nancy Hale was in charge of the election committee and took Leon's place when he was absent. Barbara Clunie Treasurer Secretary Sue Newman recorded the proceedings of each council meeting and was in charge of all records concerning student government. Treasurer Barbara Clunie kept the students informed of the student body funds and headed the student loan committee. Student Manager Bob Smith was responsible for all pep assemblies, rally buses and social events. Historian Pat Henson kept a scrapbook of all school news and events for the year and served as parliamentarian for student council.
