A cheerleader s Job is to raise school spirit show to the teams and to act as representatives from North DeSoto everywhere they go During football and basket ball season their life consists of practice cheering at games, painting signs, and planning pep rallies. It takes lots of practice, patience, and time but it s really worth it As you can see we caught some of our cheerleaders do ing what they do best We caught Jennifer practicing to be a rockette Tricia laughing about Lord knows what the group showing off their jack ets at the football banquet and Shelley concentrating on a dance move. All of this may look like fun, and it is, but there was a lot of hard work involved in getting them through the year The cheerleaders werent the only ones that cheered on the teams They had a little help from their cheerleader mascot Sheri Stone and the Griffin Stacy Ybos Working together as a team they raised school spirit the best way that they could. 54,5 I l

NDHS J .V. Cheerleaders We've Got Spirit Do you have dreams of becoming a varsity cheerleader someday? Then why don't you start out early like these girls. These are the J.V. cheerleaders of North DeSoto, and they did a great job cheering on the J.V. football and basketball teams of the 1987-88 year. They cheered on the J.V. teams this year along with the help of their mascot Missy. About two hours after school ended, you could 4 l see them excitedly cheering and showing their school spirit either on the football field or the basketball court. They worked just as hard as any other squad.
