Student Government A Tradition Begins For the first time in history of North Desoto we have a Student Government. One purpose of the Student Gov- ernment is to link the stu- dents with the teachers. The Students chosen to be offi- cers and homeroom repre- sentatives will write the new Student Government consti- tution. The officer candidates campaigned with posters and name tags for about two weeks and ended their cam- paign with a speech infront of the student body. Homeroom representatives were chosen to be on the Student Govern- ment as spokespersons for their homerooms. Since this is our first Stu- dent Government, it will set an example for years to come in the history of North De- soto. Also, the constitution that will be written will serve as the official rules and regu- lations for the Student Gov- ernment in years to come.
