ends Are For K !l45Jlfil5' 73 . 'fs 3 . is For good times and for bad times, I'll be on your side forever more, That's what friends are for! A human chain of blue satin stretched through the hall and into the gymnasium. The band began that familiar tune and the senior class filed into the audito- rium for the last time as students of North DeSoto High. The smiles on each face fooled no one, for their eyes showed their fear, their anxiety, their eagerness, their happiness, but most of all their sadness of hav- ing to say goodbyeg goodbye to the friends, the teach- ers, the classmates, the voices in the hall, the laughter in the classrooms, the relief of passing a test, and the fear of being tardy. Their sadness has a reason, as the end nears the realize too late that their high school days can only be experienced once, and that they truly are some of the best times in life. It's expected on graduation to think of the future, of the new life that's just beginning. But most of these students' thoughts are on the past as they remember the good times and the bad, the happy times and the sad, the ups and downs of their high school days. The best of luck is wished to every graduating senior of 1986. May they follow whatever dreams they choose. We have only one favor to ask them: that every now and then, they take a few minutes out and . . , . . . leememlfer 5 Well, you came and opened me, and now there's so much more l see, and so by the way l thank you. And then, for the times when we're apart well then, close your eyes these words are coming from my heart and then you can remember 43
