Outstanding Teens Boys and Girls State Candidates Five outstanding teens were chosen this year at North Dear- born. They were judged by the faculty here at school on grade percentages. There were two juniors, Cyndi Smith and Bonni Hostetter; and three seniors, Grover Sefton, Kenny Meyer, and Mary Kay Gutzwiler. BOTTOM LEFT: The National Math Exam was taken at North Dearborn this year. The top three scorers were James Meyer-11th, Ken. neth Mayer-thh, and james FIanigan-ch. ABOVE: Nancy Klump and Mary Andres were chosen as delegates for Girls State. Alternates for the delegates were Bonni Hostetter and Cyndi Smith. BELOW: Kenny Miller and Jimmy Meyer were N. D. Aurora Betty Crocker Pumpkin Farmers Fair Award Festival Jr. Miss Pageant UPPER LEFT: Cindy Hornbach and Brian Daw- son were this years seniors selected by mem- bers of their c1335 to represent N.D. in the Aurora Farmers Fair. MIDDLE: Each year girls in the senior class Kmay take the Betty Crocker Homemaker Test on a voluntary basis. The winner this year was Lisa Darling. UPPER RIGHT: This year Rhonda Weber was Chosen by the students at the Vocationl School to represent them at the Versailles Pumpkin Festival. Rhonda placed 2nd runner qu up. Beta State Officiers The National Beta Club is 2. voluntary organi- zation of high school and college students who have and maintain a B or better average for their academic work. This year the Club actively participated in the Indiana State Convention held November 10 and 11, in Indianapolis. Tim Hester was elected to the office of State Vice-President and Nancy Klump was elected to the office of State Secretary. Mary C. Page served as chairman of the marshalls and Candy Burcham served as a marshall. In all, twenty members attended the convention and all members were proud of the victories of our candidates. h-y DAR The Daughters of the American Revolution this year, awarded Mary Kay Gutzwiler the annual DAR award. The winner is judged on personality and scholastic ability. 48 f.
