There were Ten Women in the Cincin- nati area chosen from among 272 nominees among them, M15. Stutz. She was saluted not only for her extraordinary contributions to the well-being of our community but also in honor of her considerate time and talents that have made our lives richer. Mrs. Stutz was awarded a plaque from the Board of Education of the Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools, commending her on her superior service to the school for the past ten years as school sec- retary. She was also commended for being ex- tremely helpful beyond the call of duty to the students, faculty, and parents. Mrs. Stutz has been a leader on serving church and community. She is an inspiration to all those who come in contact with her. The students at North Dearborn are gre atly honor- ed and very proud to know such a wonderful person. The Vikings closed the seascm clinching a third place spot in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference, behind Lawrenceburg and Batesville. Greg Seamon ran the offense from his quarterback position, while Mark and Kurt Klem handled the majority of the running game behind the blocking of senior lineman Mike Ingles, Brad Carter, and Chuck Kerns. Tim Behlmer, Mike Ingles, and Phil Lozier lead the defense, tackle, and linebacker positions. Rick Brown and David Ruwe held down the defensive and spots. Behlmer and IngLes were placed on me All-Conference team. Behlmer was aIso named as best defensive lineman in the conference. Wayne Poore led the Vikes with 18 points per game this season while Tim Behlmer followed with a 16 point average. Brown. Behlmer, and Poore dominated the boards to become team leaders in the rebound category. Seniors Greg Seamon and Phil Hester added valuable bench support. Poore, Behlmer, Brown, Smith, Ziegler, Hochstrasser saw most of the action while Kurt Klem and Kenny Miller got in a lot Of playing time also. Poore and Behlmer earned all-conference honors. Poore shot for a 4706 field goal average while Behlmer canned a 45?0 average. The season ended with a discouraging 85-61 sectional loss to the Lawrenceburg Tigers. Poore was not playing up to par due to an ankle injury which he suffered against North Decatur and re-injured in sectional practice.
