Q X 'Nx Published by the yearbook staff of NORTH DAVIDSON HIGH SCHOOL Route 10, Lexington, North Carolina Around North Davidson in 180 Days. We, the staff, have chosen this as the theme for the 1963 NORDAI-Il. As you turn through the pages to follow, you will be taking a whirlwind tour of our old Alma Mater, re c alling many fond and sad memories of our high school days at N.D.I-l.S. Everyone loves a parade especially all Black Knights at h-......,.,. , During the Christmas se ason many artistic and beautiful bulletin boards could be seen around North Davidson. 5 5 f f 4 '7 1 Our band entertains us at a basketball game. 2 I 'G L ' - sugar ' f Q W V, ,,, lwmsgfel s , , . ,U fe- my' . Exciting things, both good and bad, are always happening at N.D. '50 XQPUDI-N, Mike and Kenneth leading our team to victory Brek-time is a busy time. 3 l In Deep Appreciation, We Dedicate . . '91 Mr. Lewey Alexander has exemplified that the highest function of the teacher consists not so much in imparting knowledge, although in this he is most proficient, as in stimulating the pupil in its love and pursuit. He has used his intellect not only for his own seeing but that his students may see the shining and learn their way. Principle, integrity, and independence is the life and e sse nce of his character. Socrates once said, The shortest and surest way to live with honor in the world is to be in reality what we would appear to be. We, the annual staff of '63, take pride in dedi- cating the 1963 NORDAHI to you, MR. LEWEY ALEXANDER, for we believe you truly live with honor. Here we see Mr. Alexander in a favorite pose in his class room. 1- When a student is in need, Mr. Alexander is always around as a helper. '-'hu--11 tvs- . ll: QE , f.-i 'E:'uv ' f' if I - JW ' fi 4? We are thankful to our teachers, And we appreciate The efforts made in our behalf, That we might graduate. Our sports events have taught us Good sportsmanship is wise. And through our clubs and parties We've learned to socialize. We look into the future now With excited mind and heartg Knowing all the while that God Was with us from the start.
