60155 Prophecy Time: December, 1965 Place: Knightsville Pat: Carroll: Pat: Carroll Pat: Carroll Pat: Carroll Pat: Carroll Pat: Carroll: Pat: My! this is a prosperous little town, It certainlyhas grown fast. I wonder what the name of it is. Over there is an old classmate, Carroll Youngkin, I'll ask him, Hi, Carroll, you seem to be the only person around here I know. Maybe you can tell me something about this place. Sure I'd be glad to. This is Kni- ghtsville, but what are you doing up here? I thought you were a Public Health Nurse in Florida. I am, but I am going to spend Christmas with Amy Jo-that is, if Ican find her. I hear she isa singer now, Yes, that's right. She and her husband have a television pro- gram. A lot of other old class- mates also love her, . You are a dentist, aren't you? Yes, that's right: my office is just up the street. I noticed a few large farrnhouses as I came into town, and Jerry Tesh was working on the air con- ditioner in one of them, That mus t have been George Woosley's. I hear he has been doing some remodeling, Those other farms belong to Wiley Ni- fong,Larry Brewer, Jasper Ni- fong , and Walter Jones. You probably noticed those two cute little housesjust outside the sub- urbs. Yes,I did. There are five child- ren playing in the yard, Those belong to Jan Leonard Wagner and Sylvia Greene Sink. I also saw a large mansion. Who does that belong to? That is where Carol Stadheim lives, Onlyit isn't Stadheim any longer. She married a wealthy guy from New York, while she was teaching Home Economics in one of the large schools up there. Yes, I read about that in the paper, I read also that Carol has been having quite a few par- ties lately, entertaining some of the towns mostdistinguished citizens. Carroll: Pat: Carroll: Pat: Carroll Pat: Carroll Pat: Carroll Pat: Carroll: Yes, Mayor Richard Redden and first lady Donna: Dr. Charlie Nolan, and his permanent nurse Cloisg Lawyer, Eddie Kimelg Gene Miller, who is now a great mechanic , and his beautiful wifeg that famous movie star Gerald Brinkley, and many others. I read that in the Knights News, a paper published by Dale Wagner, I also noticed in a s ocie ty column, written by Nancy Hartman Rag sdale and the former Doris Downs, that Jean lngle Shoaf gave a party last week for Dr. Mary Stough, and her receptionist Melvia Jean Hege. Shirley Faulk Henson and her husband were there. That must have been just before they left for the mountains to visit the former Nancy Leonard who mar - ried a preacher from up there. I also noticed that Rachel Woos- ley is engaged to her boss from Western Electric. Dale seems to be doing all right with his paper. Yes , he is, Jimmy Sutphin works for him as a cartoonist. That reminds me, Tommy Saintsing is making quite a name for him- self as a commercial artist. Look! Who are those four sol- diers walking down the street? Don't you know them? Those boys are home on a furlough. Thiey're Richard McCrary, Jim- my McAlpine, Joel Koontz, and Jay Clodfelter. Whose newgrocery store across the street? Thatbelongs to Buddy Hayes and his partner , Jimmy Leonard. Arkon Stewartis their most val- uable employee. Th o s e girls buying groceries look familiar, They are all housewives of Kni- g h t s vi 1 1 e , Shirlene Everhart Ball, Barbara Hartman Long, Christine Queen Thompson, Shi- rley Evans Miller, and Glenola Freedle Shoaf,
