In pre-season play the Bulldogs defeated Waxa- hachie, San Jacinto of Houston, North Side of Fort Worth, and Greenville. Then the N.D. team fell to a powerful eleven from Highland Park. An inspired Woodrow Wilson' team, with its full starting lineup in for the first time in the season, handed the Bulldogs their second straight defeat. As the Bulldogs met Adamson, it looked as if they would be on the short end of the score again, but trailing by 14 points in the second quarter, they exploded in a furious four minute flurry to score three touchdowns and win by a score of 19-14. Not to be defeated again, N.D. romped over Sunset, Forest, and Tech. North Dallas became City Champion in a tie with Adamson by virtue of Woodrow Wilsonfs two losses. Woodrow lost to Adamson in a thrilling game with Adamson's winning touchdown coming in the last minute and half of play, and then lost to Sunset. Because the Bulldogs had won over Adamson, they were the team to represent Dallas in the state race. Their first game of the playoffs was with North Side, whom they had defeated earlier, in pre-season play. ln the Bi-District game the Bulldogs smashed North Side by a score of 27-6, to advance to the Semi-Finals. A powerful team from Lubbock, destined to be the State Champions for the second consecutive year, defeated the Dallasites. The Bulldogs also proved their merit in basketball. The cagers placed third in the city race, winning five out of ten games. They scored two victories over Adamson and Woodrow, and one victory over Forest. They lost twice to Sunset and Tech and once to Forest. Leading the city in scoring was Mike Easterling, the Bulldogs All-City team member. At the close of this yearls schedule, prospects were bright for next year's season. Q L54 IGH XC ENT COACHES T . Head Coach Rufus Hyde and coaches Earle Adkins, T. W. Croft, B. C. Hays, C.
