Clara was a friend of ours, and what term im- plies more than ufriendv? To us friendship means that priceless gift which God gives to those who themselves give great love and faith. We value Clara's friendship highly because of the self-sacrificing, brilliant, and altogether lov- able personality which belonged distinctly to her-it war Clara. All of us who knew her-'to know her was to love her, to name her was to praisel-find solace in our certainty that she has found The Great Friend. To the memory of Finley Eastland Precious to us is the memory of our friend. Our hearts ache because death has broken the bonds of friendship and brotherhood. But we do not despair. Man's mortality fades before the victory of the soul. And surely, in life and in death, Finley was the victor. His character went from strength to strength until in death it took on the aspects of nobilityg his conduct reflected always the purity of his home and the vigor and fullness of young Christian manhood. The story of the comedy runs as follows: Gerald Summer is a young doctor with a great scarcity of patients. His first patient is a love-sick boy, Budd Woodbridge. The doctor tells Budd that he must not show the girl, Grace, how much he cares for her if he wants her toilove h'm. Gerald employs a nurse, Virginia Xelva, to give Budd treatment and make him take plenty of exercise. Grace cannot understand Budd's sudden change. He keeps away from his friends and goes nowhere. Grace writes to him but he does not answer. Finally at the end of a month Gerald decides that Budd is cured and gives him a surprise party. But Gerald finds that he can not remain cool and aloof when Grace is near. Virginia suddenly learns that she has aquired a fortune. When suit- ors for her hand appear and Gerald thinks he is going to lose her, he finds that he loves her. But she has loved him all the timeg so they are happy. Frances Knouse will take the part of Virginiag Sam Van Dyne, that of Geraldg Helen Simmons, that of Graceg and Hugh Jones, that of Budd. .
