rerun-1-za,-, 4 i fTN - gzsdssswsrzfpavgzwwq 3' -4' ' Hs .,.. i 154' 'gHis Majesty Bunker Bean The Senior play of the class of January 1925 was given on the night of January 17, in the auditorium of the North Dallas High School. Th's four act play was entitled His Majesty Bunker Bean, and the cast con- sisted of eighteen characters. The main parts were taken by Ed Smiley, Mabel Couch, and Bert Harned. Ed Smiley was the 'fMajesty Bunker Himself and the manner in which he played his part is worthy of the highest commendation. Mabel Couch Was excellent as the modern llapper. Bert Harned was fine as the complaining old man goaning with the gout. The entire cast deserves cred-it for the Wonderful way in which the play was presented. The other characters were Thelma Goode as Grand- mag Dorothy Erickson as Julia, Beulah Kennedy, the maid, Estelle Law- son, Guendolyng Vernon Whiting, Larabeeg George Frierson, Clarence, Adrian Flint, Ernest, Eugene Teasley, Bud Matthews, James Hunt, Louis and the Janitor, Neil McAlpine, the Minister, Dorsey Douglas, as Mason, and Lester Clayton, as Balthasar. These characters are to be con- gratulated upon their histrionic ability. The story is of one Bunker Bean, a young man in the employ of Paps, father of Marie, the flapper. Bunker Bean is a hard working lad Who desires to achieve success and become famous. After he meets Marie, the string of events which follow in rapid succession is indeed capable of causing laughter and tears. The play as a whole was interesting, amusing, and Wholesome. His Majesty Bunker Bean is one of the best plays ever given at North Dallas High School, and under the supervision of Miss Flemma Snidow, was naturally a complete success. ?,.7'l D.P h!Lill5J?'v- 'b-fx' I: ING WSYKW' 0154 7' Page One Hu d fl Eighz ' IP i 1 1 1' ' 4- X.
