The club has visited various art exhibits in Dallasg including the Highland Park Nlunicipal building, the art exhibit at Fair Park, and the International Dental exhibit, where the members saw many interesting posters. The Palette and Pen Club was successful in having one of its mem- bers, Josephine Abraham, elected queen of the Keen Klub Karniralll held at North Dallas High. At the beginning of the year, the club was nearly down and out,,' most of its members having graduated in the preceding spring class, and having left behind only twelve members. These twelve, however, un- der the guidance of Arthur W. Harris, the club's most able sponsor, started giving such interesting programs and putting such enthusiasm into the meetings, that they soon had the membership up to its limit of thirty- six. The programs have included interesting talks on mathematics by both members and outsiders, mathematical magic, studying and playing -fe' -1-.1an4rZ5r4?
