i.L WHO SAID IT'LL NEVER RAIN ON OUR PARADE'?.' Homecoming is a special event at NDSSS ... even when its raining. We associate Homecoming with a football game, cheerleaders. tug-o-war. coronation, and the parade. But what is Homecoming? Homecoming is the time of year when we honor the students who have graduated from NDSSS. The NDSSS Wildcats celebrated homecoming in October. The Homecoming Committee. which included Faith Reimnitz-chairper-son. Monty Steffens. Angie Schepp. Dave Merbach, Lisa Luick. Peggy Anderson, and Ron Goroski. were busy planning the activities which made Homecoming so successful. For our enjoyment there was a tug-o-war. Winning this event was Automotive Technology followed by Diesel Technology. The parade consisted of several floats and bands from NDSSS. Wahpeton. and area high schools. Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing placed first in the Wildcat Division of clubs and departments’ floats. Second place went to Environmental Systems. In the Red and Black Division was Pre-Engineering. with Architectural Drafting and Estimating coming in second. Following the parade, the Wildcats were victorious in their attempt to defeat Bismarck JC. The weather did not damper the fans spirit as they boosted the Wildcats to finish with a 17-0 score.
