A Salute The 1967-68 Agawasie” presents in pictures and words the story of the North Dakota State School of Science. The staff and advisor are to be commended for this “outstanding annual.” May this annual continue to bring back fond memories as you retrace the past, and may it serve as an inspiration as you recall the achievements of your many friends. It is our sincere hope that this year has been most eventful and fruitful for all who have been in attendance. We hope that because of this experience, the young men and women have gained in wisdom and stature and arc ready to accept future opportunities, challenges and responsibilities. Our society will demand much, thus it is the individual’s responsibility to do his job in a superior fashion. Our society will remain static if the standards we set for today’s attainment are no higher than yesterday’s and tomorrow’s no higher than today’s. The pursuit of “excellence” will always be the root of real progress. It is something we owe not only to society but to ourselves? We congratulate all who have completed this phase of their training and wish them every success in the years ahead! Being merely adequate is not sufficient, however, and is not in keeping with the philosophy of the “North Dakota State School of Science.” We ask that in your daily efforts that you arc ever mindful that progress comes from a job well done, and that certain personal attributes—integrity, initativc creativity, and responsibility—will continue to be key factors for success in life. May the training and experience gained so prepared you that: While each calls to each, ’Good luck, there friend!’ and inwardly thinks, 'Well, here is the end! The end? No, just the beginning; just a few things end when our scroll is won. The world needs all that we have to give, so we will keep on learning and working as long as we live.
