The 1964 Agawasie Salutes. . . . . . the Building Construction Technology department. Built by the pioneers in vocational education, expanded under the able direction of the late Merle D. Robertson, and fortified by the capable instruction of Richard Haskell. Ivan Sand, Edwin I.undmark and Leonard Ruzicka. this department is typical of the many and various departments of the State School of Science. Hundreds of graduates dot our state and nation, all enriched by the opportunity that was avail -able to them in this department on this campus. It is a well worn cliche that higher education has an obligation to lift every young man and woman up to the limits of his potentiality. That the need exists for education of this type, there can be no doubt. In good measure the Building Construction Technology department has enabled the State School of Science to meet the challenge that faces North Dakota to equip her sons and daughters with the knowledge and skill that is so necessary to face today’s world realistically. r-'.
