Business School Division Before writing this article for the Agawasic, 1 spent some time looking over annuals of past years. I had no particular reason for doing this except that I was searching for a topic about which to write. Actually I had planned to spend only a few minutes on this project, but I became so interested that I si ent the better part of an hour going over Agawasies of the past. It became a sort of simple research project. I found myself recalling what the students pictured were like as students and what they are doing today. Those especially successful had certain qualities as students. They did not complain when an assignment might be long and difficult, they liked people and activities and made it a point to participate in functions that would enable them to mix with people, they welcomed assignments requiring leadership, they knew the value of good grades, courtesy, and appearance. When these successful students accepted work, the qualities acquired as a student were applied to the job. Their ability was recognized and they became successful in their chosen fields. How docs this apply to the students listed in the 1963 Agawasic? Will I look at your picture a few years from now and say there is a successful person? 30
