At the time this is being written, I am aware of the work that is being done by the Agawasie staff workers; and when the 1962 annual is ready for distribution, I know every one of us on the campus will be proud of it. Now to transgress from the decorous and the conventional, permit me to repeat here a statement which I heard recently that made a deep impression on me: There will be no peace in this world of ours as long as people fight for the front seat in the bus, the back scat in the church, and the middle of the road”. This provides a great deal of food for thought. As I reflect on the inferences, I take the liberty of making a recommendation in your 1962 annual. It is this: Your 1962 yearbook is the Product of youth on a junior college campus. outh faces the task of improving the educational offerings in our schools and colleges in the decades to follow. Your challenge is this: How can you instill into minds of peoples everywhere that there must be consideration for the other fellow; that our only salvation lies in the Word of God; and that each must have the courage to stay on the right side of the road and constantly inculcate in the minds of others the fact that there is no other way to a lasting peace? That is your job. 'Tis better that I provide you with a challenge in the few words on this page rather than repeat the decorous and conventional of years gone by.
