Ray Schnell is filling out the term of M. S. Byrne of Bowman and will be succeeded on July 1. 1961 by John Conrad of Bismarck. A Word from the Governor . . . One hundred years ago, Dakota Territory was formed and settled by determined people. We have progressed well from one generation to another, but ahead are critical years for North Dakota. Important decisions must be made. Trained, energetic people arc needed to make these decisions and carry them out. North Dakota needs you on its farms, in its towns, cities and counties. We need your talents in industry—farming, petroleum, commerce, milling, and our other means of production. Most of all, we need your determination to make your North Dakota community a satisfying place in which to live. North Dakota is proud to have provided you with the technical training so necessary for success in the future.
