Principal's Message It is the aim of North Cove School to explore some of the issues that students of our day must face and try to resolve as they go through the process of education. Their responsibility is a heavy one, The past fifty years have seen extraordinary complica- tions: two World Wars, the Great Depression, chronic international tensions, the onset of the Atomic Age, and Viet Nam. Students have beencompelled over and over again to make re-adjustments, and teachers have been called on with increasing urgency to distinguish between the permanent and the transitory, I hope that the years spent here at North Cove will help students know themselves and theirworld better than before, and that it will make clear to them the wisdom that lies beyond knowledge. The collection of events found in this, the last volume of the Conasoga, will help in determining the permanent from the transitory.
