Class Prophecy The year is 1979 and as I was getting ready for bed one night I picked up the evening paper. I was surprised to see that many of the articles contained the names of my former class- mates. Here it is twenty years after my graduation and my old friends are already on the ladder of fame. The headlines read: MARS YANKS BEAT PLUTONIAN BRAVES There has been much celebrating on Mars today for the Yanks have just taken the Universal Series. Bob Jeswald won a hard pitching duel over the Plutonian Braves' star player, Curtis Payne. At the end of the last inning Elaine Fricano, Yankee Manager, congratulated her terrific pitcher with a kiss. Judy Feltz, manager of the Braves had no reason to feel ashamedg her Plutonian team put up a magnificent fight and lost only in the ninth inning with a score of 1 - 0. MOONSIDE PAVILION HAS GRAND OPENING Last night the Moonside Pavilion had their grand opening. Margaret Thill, owner of the huge square dance hall highlighted the evening with the well-known Moonshine Rangers. Dave Wagner, John Abramo, and john Alessi accompanied the caller, Joan Schillace. Dave, who always had a wonderful sense of humor had the crowds rolling in laughter at his jokes. STARS SHINE OUT ON SATURN Last night on Saturn, Olivia Williams astounded the critics with her magnificent roll in. Come Back Little Sputnick. It is a story of the destruction of Earth and how two people faced those terrible times. Miss Williams showed her great acting abil- ity especially in the love scene with Paul Faubert who is a new Hollywood sensation. Paul's last picture, which also was a huge success was Lost in Space in which he co-starred with Brigitte Bardot. Paul's French came in handy for they have been seen together at many of the nightclubs on the Milkyway. TO PUT FUN IN YOUR LIFE TRY DANCING Janice Burke, Sylvia LaFave and Agnes Smith have taken over Arthur Murray's Dancing Academy. On their Saturday night show they featured Ralph Gruppo, the newest Rock and Roll sensation of the Universe. His new Long Hair style of music r ly has the teenagers shook up. PROBLEM COLUMN In the paper I read that Cathy Bucco had replaced Ann Landers. A 'typical problem that she had been presented with was from her old classmate Carmella Noto, who is now mother of three. She asked how to find a good babysitter. Miss Noto referrfd hqngio Carsyle Tcipi and Pat Schmitz who run a baby sitting agency. Pat and Carsyle are both doing quite well for themselves as each has been married for 10 years. Pat has two darling daughters and Carsyle recently surprised the medical profession when she gave birth to five very healthy quintuplets. GEIGER'S POOL HALL RAIDED BY SPACE RANGERS Last night at 11:15 Sergeant Kathlyn Adams of the Space Rangers led a raid on Lawrence Geiger's Pool Hall. When asked to make a statement Lawrence said he would leave every- thing up to his famous criminal lawyer Bea Canale. Larry was arrested on suspicion of running a Space Race Bookie Agency. IArry's love for pool is really going to send him places. We can rest assured, however, that he is in good hands for Miss Canale has never lost a case - yet. MISSIONARIES RETURN HOME Marth Langraff and Doris Simmons have recently returned home from a newly found planet. They have been doing a great job converting these backward people and one which they may well be proud of. Their friendly personalities and initiative which I remember them to have had in high school surely have been ri.. , ea-fe 1 . f ' g,,,r 4.4 ..n,-.. RED STYLES NEW HAIRDOES I also happened to notice an ad for Veronica Briggs' Beauty Salon. She was featuring her new coiffures and Claudia Decker modeled them. We- always knew her red hair would help her later on. It has too, for she is now married to Tab Hunter who is her fifth husband. It seems modeling isn't her only interest. WANTED BY THE H.E.B. Pat Dillingham, Cathy Wood, and Mary Ellen Schmitz have replaced the McGuirre sisters. Their charm has led to their suc- cess. Their good looks must have surely helped them too for they are on the list of most wanted Hollywood stars. This list is made up by the H.E.B. club which stands for Hollywood's Eligible Bachelors. NEW GROWTH HORMONE DISCOVERED In the field of science Sally Ann Castiglia has discovered a new growth hormone. By accident Sally took an overdose of this and is now six feet tall. Her associate Susan Hurd has developed a new kiss proof lipstick. Dick O'Boyle and Fred Miller have volunteered to test this new product. Their work is made more fun by their co- workers Carole Glow and Sandra Seely. NEW SPEED RECORD SET Sam Markello, engineer, has just completed the century's biggest project-a transatlantic bridge. Bill Roth, in a new Neptunian Sports Car, broke all speed records on crossing the Atlantic by using this bridge. He completed the journey in four hours. Pretty good, Bill. MARCIA WINTER, FAMOUS OBSTETRICIAN Barbara Milius has become the new headnurse at the Inter- stellar Emergency Hospital. This is the same hospital that the famous backhand slap that has brought a record breaking num- ber of children into the world. FAMOUS AUTHOR ONCE TEACHER I was quite surprised that our old senior advisor has also made quite a name for himself in these last twenty years. This is how the paper read: Mr. Joseph Valone who at one time was a teacher on the planet earth, has published his new book A Forgotten Art- The Hula Hoop. In his book the author has used many pictures of himself illustrating the techique required to twirl a hoop. In 1960 Mr. Valone gave up teaching and took to writing. His talents are many, and his books all are on the best seller list. His last one was Simplified Use of the IBM Machines for first graders. These new machines, thanks to modern science, have done away with homework and almost every student has a port- able one of his own. After reading the paper I was able to rest contented knowing that our class had made the Universe a better place to live. I am sure that everyone feels the same as I do that North Collins Central, the school that we attended so many years ago, had help- ed to give us the background with which we went on to conquer new horizons. Elaine Fricano Bob Jeswald Ralph Grupppo
