TOWNS DAVID VONARB In Memoriam HOWARD GAMBREL was one of the few who could be called everyone's friend. Hi5 humor and friendliness made him well-liked and his passing left an unoccupied space in his class. Howie was always ready with a helping hand or word for everyone. Hi5 courage throughout his illness is perhaps a fitting way of remembering him, as a determined person who even in adversity can find light. Memories of Howard are all we have now, but they are among our most valuable possessions. 26
