We Dedicate: Mr. James O. Hissom joined the N.C.H. teaching staff in1960. In doing so he assumed the task of being not only Ju- nior and Senior Band Director, but also the leader of the fifth and sixth grade Beginner and Intermediate Bands. Over the past ten years the Band program has more than doubled in size, largely be- cause of Mr. Hissom's willing- ness to be more than a teacher to his students. Great skilll pa- tience, and planning are re- quired to lead groups as large and varied as these. The Senior Band made approximately twenty performances this year and those do not include the Dance Band and Pep Band per- formances we enjoy so much. For a decade of service we would like to express our ap- preciation to Sir . Therefore we dedicate the 1970 Ilium to Mr. Hissom.

At last the long awaited Senior year has arrived! We, as Seniors, approach the culmination of four long hard years of high school, with mixed emotions. We have had our downfalls, but the disappointments were few compared to the many achievements and excite- ment from Homecoming to Commencement. The past four years hold many won- derful memories for all of us, and we only hope to further our achievements and broaden our interests in the future.
