Matlu 0W Qhesses Aprfoatiow Mathematics is a very important study in itself. and it is also of the utmost im- portance to most forms of science. Math is much more than addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It is as complex as the tasks it is called on to solve. However, like many things, the true importance of math lies in the indi- vidual's ability to apply it to the problems and situations met in actual life. This year, a member of our Math De- partment, Mrs. Lakonen, retired after thirteen years at NCH. All of us regret her leaving and wish her the best of luck in the future.
