Mass Tabitha Cobb Retirees Mm 25 Yams. There is much about N.C.H. Thk remembered and missed by each us. However, There is one Individuai who has been so much a part of N.C.H. that her leaving seems incomprehensible. For ThirTy-five years she has taught and counw seled hundreds of sTudenTs helping Them To grow into mature adults. There are no words To express The gratifude To one who has so willingly and faithfully served. And so it is with greaT fondness and affection That we dedicafe the 1966 Hium To Miss Tabitha Cobb. Representing The citizens of North College Hilf, The Board of Education strives to give its children the besT education possible. This year, one of its many goals was to keep the public informed, and it did so wifh several publications of the North College Hill City Schools Bulletin. Many improvements originate with this group, and The end result was seen when sixteen classrooms and several hallways were brightened by The insfaHation of fluores- cent lighfs. We should greatly appreciate 1heir efforts which benefit us all. .wM-u-q- Dear Students, Another year has come to a close and memories have replaced expectations, It has been an exceptionally smooth year with many pleasant and rewarding experiences. The Ilium represents hours of hard work on the part of many people. It should be considered a very personal treasure insofar as it portrays school life during T965-66. Place it in a safe location so that in years to come these Moments to Remember will be close at hand. Although we have said farewell to 1965-66 the memo- ries shared will linger for years to come. This yearbook will serve as a ready reference when memory fails to recall old classmates and friends. Respectfully, Joseph N. Ross Superintendent of Schools For students, teachers and friends of NCH the 1 serves as a key to unlock memories in years to Ct 50 it is a pleasure for me to have an opportunity to be a part of these pages of memories. i want to wish all graduates of the class of 196566 the best of things to come. I hope that ail of their dreams are fulfilled, I want to congratulate the entire student body on their accomplishments that are reflected on the pages of this book. I have missed the close association with the students and faculty at the High Schooi this year, but i have enioyed the broader experience of working with the entire student body of the North College Hill School District. Respectful Iy, Edward Shreve Assistant Superintendent 20 1m; .J, AL The school year of 1965-66 is history now, and we have had a very successful year. We have seen changes take place in the physical plant which have shown improvement in our facilities. We are grateful to our Board of EdLication and Superintendent for their progressive thinking and thoughtfulness. ln reviewing the year it is- only proper that we say farewell to the class of 1966. Approximately 6070 of the graduates will be admitted to an institution of higher learning. This includes Junior College, Nursing, Technical, Vocational, and Business. Those who will be attending college totals 450XO. This is outstanding and this class is to be congratulated for such a large proportion. We wish all graduates success and happiness in whatever field of endeavor they may choose. The underclassmen who will be returning to North College Hill will see many more changes in the future. This year has been a gratifying one for me as your Principal. The one characteristic of the student body that stands out clearly in my mind is the enthusiasm and desire to work and accomplish success in their many activities. I speak in reference to the Home- coming floats, the outstanding Junior-Senior Prom and many other activities. it this enthusiasm carries over into your classroom work, I'm sure your achievements will be most rewarding. The unsung heroes of any school are the classroom teachers who give unselfishly of their time. They are without question the heart of education, and the students here at North College Hill are most fortunate to have a competent and well qualified faculty. I wish to take this opportunity to express the student body's and my personal gratitude for a successful school year. In closing, 1 want to say a special thanks to all whom I have had the privilege of working closely with over the past school year. The many organizations, the secretaries, the counselors, the iani- tors, the cooks, and everyone who has contributed to the school. It certainly has been my pleasure, Wishing all a very enioyable summer. Paul L, Webster Principal Whoooooooooooooooooh! 2i Mw.m a 1 .. a Lining M1 5cm guru ! This is the year when all the activities which we watched as underclassmen happened to us-the announcements, the robes, the Senior Ensemble, Bac- calaureate, and Commencement. These Senior activities and other activities are more significant this year because the under- classmen seem to respect us more as Seniors and we know that this is the final year of our participation so we are more aware of their meaning. We look back on all the things we have done scholastically and in school activities hopingtthey will help us in years to come. . The future will show how successful our preparation has been because it has molded the kind of adult we are. At the Iong-awaited half-time, the queen candidates were introduced, and last year's queen, Miss Debby Freking, crowned Denna Luehrs as her successor. Next came the presentation of the trophies for the floats. As the major theme was Fantasy, the floats were based on fairy tales. The Juniors received first place for their Cat's at Our Command, and were followed by the Seniors' Humpty Dump 'Em and the Freshmen with Blow Your Victory Horn.
