VARSITY Harold Marsh BASEBALL Coach Guy Curtright’s 1958 Varsity Baseball Squad ended the year with a fine record of 24 wins, 8 losses, and one tie. The team won Tri-County Conference honors with a 9-1 record. They won five games in the State Tournament before bowing to Maine, the eventual state champions, with a score of 4-3, in the last inning. The high point for the team was playing in the State Tournament and doing so well. Two records were broken during the year as Jim Gerzel batted a phenomenal .457 in leading the team to a .326 batting average as a whole. Bob Armstead Earl Herman
