The new students, most of them freshmen straight from the hcradle of high school, had arrived, and student leaders sprang into action as Welcome Week was underway. ' Welcome Week was especially de- signed to make new students feel se- cure in their new surroundings, in- form them of school policies, and make available to them practical training sessions on subjects such as time management. Welcome Week accomplished its objective of assimi- lating new students into college life, reflected RA Ioe Videle, ' Fhey may have been overwhelmed by all the new people and the crammed meet- ings, but there was an excitement like that of Christmas. .knowing you were going to get something but not, yet knowing what exactly it was.
