for growth chapels another 100. This years enrollment was up again and NC. had a student body of 936 in Fall, 1982. The Orfield Complex has proven indispensible for stu- dent housing in its first full year of NC ownership. Dr. Dale Berkey, Vice President for Development, says there is still room for physical expansion. The Men,s dorm is constructed to allow for an additional three stories. The CLC can be extended by two floors and the new gymnasi- um by an additional floor. For parking facilities, there is the option for parking behind Miller Hall or Lindquist Chapel. Without extensive change, the capacity of the college is estimated at between 1100 and 1200 students. Suggestions of having two chapel services, increasing the use of night courses, renovating and enlarging the cafeteria area, and many other ideas are all under consideration. Miller Hall, ladies residence 2 Growth One reason 1S NCis Everywhere one turns there is evidence of the growth of North Central Bible College. NCis administration is keep- ing their attention center not only on growth but on in- creasing the quality of the school while maintaining the colleges mission of preparing people to serve Christ. NC President Dr. Don Argue and Don Meyer agree on five main reasons for the colleges growth: CD the quality of the chapel services; C2i exit interviews With all seniors as to likes, dislikes, and improvements they could suggest for the college; C37 close interaction with the faculty by the students; Mi the balance of the practical and theological; C5i a healthy constituency of churches in the Assemblies of God movement. In 1930 NCBC opened with an enrollment of 27 stu- dents. On through the 1940is this had increased to around 270. It was not until 1961 that NC hit the 350 mark and by 1974 the college had stabilized at just over 450 students. By 1976 the college peaked at 578 and attendance broke 600 in 1978. This growth had continued to escalate. In 1980 NC added another 100 to that figure and in 1981 EC? EviiiiLR i XLL

Student Body Grows Into Orfield Residence A new addition to NUS campus this year is the Orfield Residence. The Residence is made up of one and two bedroom apartments. Prior- ity was given to renterts who were married stu- dents or over the age of 20. The Residence greatly relieved possible over- crowding in the ments and woments dorms, and ADO th er NC er 3013 was necessary for the growth of NC. The Orfield Residence from Chicago Avenue.
