24 iiOur Lord ComethW This is the meaning of the word iiMaranathaf, Evidently it was a word of greeting and parting among the early believers. Those early believers, dogged by persecution, harrassed on every hand, found consolation in the blessed word, iiMaranathaf, His coming would end their trials and their sorrows would be turned to holy joy. His reign would overthrow the evil powers that opposed them. If this was so in those early days of the Christian Church, how much more today! The end of the age is upon us, the night is far spent, the day of His return is at hand! iiMaranathaf our Lbrd Cometh, is 0dr watchword. This is our hope amid the maddening maze of things happening around us. The day will soon break-the trumpet be heard. The conflict will grow more fierce as we near the consummation. Do you see ominous signs about? Lift up your head! Redemption is drawing near! Soon the wondrous rapture will take place, and God,s ready saints will be snatched away to His Pre- sence. Heralds of the King, Prepare His Way! Go forth to benighted lands, and to a world shaking in fear and apprehension, with the tidings of His Coming. Herald the news worldwide! Blow the trumpet; awake the hearts; arouse the sleeper, till readiness is the mark upon every waiting soul. iiMaranatheW our Lord Cometh, peal out the watchword! All the saved shall see His face, ransomed through His matchless grace; And heill find me preaching Jesus when He comes! H ome, like Enoch went, He,ll take us, where of sin thereis not a trace, And H eill find me preaching Jesus when H e comes! When He comes! tWhen He comes! Bridehood saints will shout His welcome when He comes; We shall then have passed in triumph the last milestone of the race, And shall sit down with the Bridegroom when he comes!
