page two Excerpts from log Book of the USS STEWARDS OF GOD Sept. 9, 1946- Ship was launched and captained by Marlin Peterson, Class presi- ' dent. Trial runs prove her a sturdy craft. A few alterations and additions better fit her for the battle for which she was launched. Sept. 8, 1947- Cast off lines, voyuging into another year captained by Marlin Peterson. She proves a mighty warrior for the cause. Sept. 7, 1948- Ships-out under new command, Calvin P. Olson, captain. She has weathered stormy seas, fought a good fight and is pressing on to the meritorious award to be given May 27, I949. STEWARDS OF GOD Let men so account of us, as of the ministry of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 1 Cor. 4:1. This name, STEWARDS OF GOD, for the Class of 1949 declares the intent of each of its ninety-two graduating members. Let men so account of us in our varied services and ministries for our Master, as of the ministry of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Stewards, conducting teaching the mysteries of God, channelling us into God- guided streams of endeavor.

USS STEWARDS OF GOD . . . I949 Reveals her ship's plan, roIl-cull of personnel and sailing mission. SHIP'S PLAN . . . The nomenclature of the USS STEWARDS OF GOD includes: the dedication to Rev. T. J. ones who entered his teaching ministry at the North Central Bible Insti- tute with the Class of 1949 and the honoring of Rev. Russell H. Olson who is a local pastor and a worthy executive of the North Central District Council which promotes and backs the Bible Institute. Then are pic- tured the Presbyters, who are the Directors of the Insti- tute. The remainder of the ship,s plan is divided by pictures of ships, their decks and divisions portraying in part the divisions of the North Central Bible Insti- tute and student body. The naval pictures used on the division pages are all U. S.
